| Here's a picture showing the current state of the building (17th May 2005). There is still about a third of the cladding still to do, but only a few days will be needed to finish, also the EPDM membrane still needs to be glued down. After this, a deck and steps need to be installed and the work will then move inside where internal cladding, insulation, and electrical fit out will be started. It has taken around 70 man days to reach this stage of the build, not including the felling and milling of the timber used, making it a very rapid process. This should make the building accessible to others, including self-builders who want to adapt the design to produce an affordable house. | | |
